Integrative & Holistic Psychiatry
Your mind and body are deeply interconnected. Stress, trauma, sleep, nutrition, inflammation, and daily habits all influence how you feel emotionally. In integrative psychiatry, we look at the full picture — not just symptoms — to understand how physical health may be shaping your mental well‑being.
This whole‑person approach helps us identify patterns, root causes, and lifestyle factors that may be contributing to anxiety, depression, mood changes, or burnout. When we understand the full story, we can create a treatment plan that supports both your emotional and physical health.

What Integrative & Holistic Psychiatry Includes
- Comprehensive evaluations that explore physical health, emotional patterns, sleep, nutrition, stress, trauma history, and daily routines
- Medication management, when helpful, is paired with non‑medication strategies
- Supportive counseling to help you understand your symptoms and build resilience
- Lifestyle‑based recommendations such as sleep hygiene, nutrition awareness, movement, exercise, and stress‑reduction practices
- Mind‑body approaches that support nervous system regulation and emotional balance
- Collaboration with other providers (therapy, primary care, nutrition, etc.) when appropriate

Whole‑person care for mind, body, and story
- Integrative & Holistic Psychiatry looks beyond symptoms and diagnoses.
- It considers your full lived experience — your biology, environment, relationships, personal identity, stress patterns, culture, spirituality, physical health, and the meaning you make of your life.
- This approach blends evidence‑based psychiatric care with supportive, lifestyle‑focused strategies that help you feel more grounded, connected, and empowered.
- Our goal is simple: to support your mental health in a way that honors the whole you.
- This approach is flexible and tailored — never one‑size‑fits‑all.

How We Approach Supplements in Mental Health Care
- Supplements can play a supportive role in mental health treatment, but they are never used as a stand‑alone solution. They are used to complement your treatment, not replace it.
- In our practice, supplements are considered thoughtfully, safely, and only when they make sense for your overall treatment plan.
- We never assume supplements are right for everyone. They are simply one tool among many that may support mood, sleep, stress regulation, or overall well‑being.
- Our approach is grounded in three principles: safety, evidence, and personalization.

Nutrition as a Foundation for Mental Health
The way we nourish our bodies can influence energy, mood, sleep, and stress regulation. In our practice, we explore nutrition in a simple, supportive way — never restrictive, never judgmental.
Our approach may include:
- Understanding how certain foods affect mood and energy
- Exploring eating patterns that support emotional balance
- Identifying nutritional gaps that may impact well‑being
- Encouraging sustainable, realistic changes that fit your life
- We focus on small, meaningful shifts — not perfection.
- Nutrition becomes one more tool that supports your healing, alongside therapy, medication, lifestyle changes, and mind‑body practices.

$100 per 20 minute Medication Management Session
We provide superbills after each session, which you can submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement if your plan includes this benefit.
What is your cancellation policy?
Our office requires a 48-hour notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. If this notice is not given, you have not made reasonable attempts to communicate with us in the case of an emergency, or you do not show for an appointment, our billing department will charge a $95 No-Show/Late Cancellation Fee.
What is a Psychiatric & Mental Health Evaluation?
Your first appointment is designed to be a thoughtful and collaborative exploration of your experiences. Together, we will:
- Discuss your current symptoms and how they may be affecting your goals, relationships, and daily life.
- Trace a timeline of your life, identifying meaningful turning points—both positive and challenging—that can shed light on your mental health journey.
- Clarify your story and aspirations, so I can understand who you were, who you are today, and who you hope to become.
Depending on your needs, I may recommend additional steps such as completing rating scales or lab work to ensure we have a full picture of your health. We will also review consent forms so that your care team—therapists, doctors, or family members—can be included in a way that supports you.
Medication is never a requirement. Instead, I will present several evidence-based treatment options, guiding you through the risks and benefits of each. Once you feel confident and comfortable with our plan, we will begin working toward your goals right away.
What services do you offer in each state?
In Florida and New York, I provide Virtual/Hybrid Psychiatry and Counseling Services. This includes psychiatric medication management via telepsychiatry as well as therapeutic counseling via teletherapy, in compliance with state licensing requirements.
In Person appointments may be available, reach out for questions.
Do you take Insurance?
Currently, we are In-Network with Aetna, United Behavioral Health / Optum, Oscar and AvMed. We are In-network with Cigna/Evernorth and Carelon through Headway and Alma.
Depending on your current health insurance provider or employee benefit plan, it is possible for services to be covered in full or in part. Please contact your insurance provider to verify how your plan compensates you for out of network psychiatric and counseling services.
I’d recommend asking these questions to your insurance provider to help determine your benefits:
- Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?
- Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?
- Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?
- Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?
As we grow, insurance providers may change over time, so we recommend checking with our office or your insurance provider to confirm coverage before your appointment.
